A new rail industry company with decades of experience is being launched. The company is Plymouth-based Rail Signalling & Power (RSP), a new organisation with a management team with more than 100 years of combined rail industry experience and knowledge.
RSP designs, builds and tests electrical control panels for rail infrastructure, covering the signalling and power sectors of the rail industry. It is the only business in the sector that designs, builds and tests electrical control panels on heavy and light rail infrastructure.
Says RSP’s Mike James, head of business development: “It is tremendously exciting to be launching a company with a fresh approach and with the many decades of experience the team brings. This gives us a knowledge base and contact set that puts us ahead of the competition.
“In addition, owning the intellectual property rights of MGB Engineering gives us an extensive range of Network Rail approved products.”
The company is a member of the ArchOver Group, the UK’s premier peer-to-peer (P2P) lender.
Angus Dent, ceo of ArchOver Group, commented: “I’m really excited to be part of such a well experienced and skilled management team as we approach the implementation of digital rail. Digitalisation of railway signalling in the UK is long overdue. RSP will be at the forefront of the system integration required to ensure the successful implementation of digital rail.”
